Can we talk about potty training? Cause this is what me and the kiddo are doing today. I'm going cold turkey and Sophia's wearing her Elmo "chonies". I was calling them big girl panties and she's correcting me saying - chonies, chonies! So far she's peed running to the bathroom, standing on her step stool, and in my closet. It's only 10 in the morning. Now we're watching the Elmo Uses the Potty DVD and she's already run to the bathroom to sit on the toilet...for a sticker. I'm letting her chose a sticker to put on her potty chart when she has to go. This morning I was thinking that she was just going to go. I realized I'm expecting to much... I have a feeling this sitting on the toilet thing might take a while! I have a feeling she's going to pee on herself and all over the house today.

Update: she's peed in front of the kitchen window while I talked to the gardeners.

Maybe instead of going cold turkey you two should try cool turkey. By which I mean the potty pants that have a smiley and when they pee in them they can feel the wetness on them and the smiley goes away or frowns or something?
I still need your mailing address.

Saw you on "fuckinhippie"'s journal, and thought Id come check you out (which co-incidentally I saw her on a different friends journal)
Anyway. Hope the potty training is getting better now that it's been a week or so.
My best friend's 4 year old was a DREAM to potty train. (when se was 2). They went to their relatives' house, she saw her cousins using the potty and that was that.
Her son on the other hand, who is now 2 (Almost 3), is a nightmare when it comes to potty training. He is afraid of the toilet for some reason too... and he will pee in the toilet (when encouraged) but refuses to poop in the toilet, instead he decides he's going to poop in his underwear and then take them off and try to wash them. (You can imagine what happens).

Anyhow. I've added you. I hope you're having a good day!
-Jess
